The Information Security Diploma is a distance-learning training program offered among the diploma programs of the Continuing Education and Community Service Center at the University of Prince Mugrin. It seeks to deliver distinguished education in cybersecurity in line with the latest quality standards, qualifying trainees to protect digital systems and technical infrastructure from cyber risks.
The program covers the essential areas of information security — from the concepts of cyber threats and attacks and protection techniques, through assessing and analyzing security vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks, and applying security controls such as secure access, identity management, and encryption, to cyber-risk management, penetration testing, and building security awareness within organizations.
The program comprises 60 training hours distributed across sequential study levels, following a study plan that spans one to two years depending on the chosen track, and is open to holders of a high-school certificate or above. Upon completion, the trainee receives an accredited professional diploma issued by the University of Prince Mugrin, preparing them for roles in information-security departments at organizations and companies, in career paths such as cybersecurity specialist and infrastructure cyber-defense specialist.
